Black Hole Empire is an experimental project by the duo Trei Johnson (drums) and Eric Nichols (synths/vocals). Having played punk music together in the early 2000s, the duo has reunited to peer through a darker lens, forging a distorted new vision of experimental industrial rock. Their music is a study in extremes—blending aggressive vocal shifts and powerful hooks with the delicate melancholy of a lone piano. Whether delivering a driving electronic pulse or a cinematic "doom outcry," they create a blurry, beautiful, and chaotic sonic landscape that defies easy categorization.
